Of course I am always up for a little get-a-way! Then it occurred to me, a few days before we were heading out to St. While my fiance was out of state on work, he had called and said that when he got home that we should go away for a 'kid-free' weekend. Our days that we had off work together never seemed to be the right time to go to the courthouse to make it official. Ing married while we were at the courthouse that day if it had not been for the 3 day waiting period required in Florida. I cannot put a price on what Elegant Events (Betty an Allen Crosby) did for our wedding day. That was how our wedding day turned out to be. When I knew I was falling in love with my wife I told her she was everything I didn't know I wanted. I told my wife I wanted to write this review so that future brides could hear how our experience was coming from the groom’s perspective. We stayed on the beach, with the ocean waves at our feet, and in the light sprinkle of rain until we finished our vows and I was able to kiss my WIFE. Betty was standing in the water with us while it was sprinkling, all the time making us feel like nothing mattered but that unforgettable moment! Betty said rain on your wedding day makes the knot tighter and stronger! With that being said, she didn't try to hurry our moment at all. They worked with us on the beach while we said our vows with our feet in the ocean. They were able to catch my wife's tears as she realized her father was there to give his only daughter away. Betty, God bless her, was able to make it all happen without my fiancé knowing her father was going to be there.īetty set up the photographer, David Walters Photography. I told him I would be honored to have him there. He asked my permission to surprise his daughter and give her away. My fiancé’s father called me once we told everyone our small wedding plans. Later that evening, my wife and I called her, after our visit, we could not have been more at ease about what our special day was going to be like. I contacted Betty and could not wait to tell my fiancé about her.

Thank you Betty Crosby/ Elegant Events for making our wedding day perfect. I highly recommend Betty Crosby to anyone looking to get married in St Augustine FL. Betty took all of the stress out of planning our wedding. She met us in our suite prior to the wedding to go over everything with us. To save me the 1.5 hour drive to St Augustine, Betty went and took care of making sure the wedding cake was right and would be delivered to the right place. We were staying in Daytona for the week with the brides family. Betty stayed in contact with me constantly and if I had a question she was quick to call me back with an answer. She also emailed me suggestions for the wedding and different ways it could be performed. She gave us a lot of ideas on where we could get married, where we could have the reception, places to get the cake from, and great places to stay while we were in St Augustine. I called Betty and told her what we were looking for. Y Crosby's/ Elegant Events number and I am Glad they did. Thanks Betty and Allen for helping to make our day special! Other than that, we truly did have a great experience with Elegant Events, and if we had to go back and choose an officiant all over, Allen would definitely be the one that we pick :) Didn't ruin the wedding or photos (not everything can go right in a wedding), but just something that I would recommend to other brides to check for so it doesn't happen in your wedding as well. I am sure this was an oversight, and in the grand scheme of things is pretty minor, but I wish there was a little more attention paid to this detail on their parts. So now in all of our photos at the alter you see "Kaitlin & Brandy" instead of "Katelin & Brandi." During the Ceremony, Allen accidently said "Candy" instead of "Brandi", but that was humorous and we all laughed so if anything it was nice because it helped calm our nerves, but this is something a little more permanent as it is in a lot of our important pictures (especially zoomed in ones of our hands when we are putting on rings). In hindsight, as we just received our pictures back last night and noticed this, the only thing I wish was different was that both our names were spelled wrong on the binder that Allen read off of. We hired Allen to be our officiant, and he did a wonderful job!! He was so sweet and really was exactly what we were looking for to find in the person that would be standing up there with us as we said our "I Do's" :) By one of our other vendors, and Betty immediately answered all of our questions and was very responsive to our emails.
